Our children are a very important part of our parish. They are the future leaders of our church, but even as children they try to live as Jesus' followers within their families, their classrooms, and their everyday lives. As they learn more about their faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and the church, they can be witnesses to everyone they meet, and use their gifts and talents to serve others.

Parents are called to be the first teachers of their children in the ways of faith and in giving witness to their faith by what they say and what they do.  To assist parents in that mission, St. Patrick Parish offers several opportunities for catechesis.

Prayer for Teachers



Lord God, your spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us your ways. Look upon these teachers. Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds. Grant that they may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life, for ever and ever. Amen.
