Women's Club

Mission Statement

The mission of St. Patrick Women's Club is to support and promote the goals, activities, interests and services of St Patrick Parish -- St. Patrick Church and St. Michael Mission.

The Women's Club has been serving St. Patrick Parish continuously for nearly 50 years.  The club is open to all women of St. Patrick Church and St. Michael Mission.

The club meets the first Wednesday of each month for a potluck lunch and business meeting at 12:00 noon.   The annual Ladies Luncheon is held in June in lieu of the regular meeting. Annual dues are $15, payable in January.

The primary activities of the group include:

  • Assisting with funeral luncheons as requested.

  • Preparing & serving dinner for the priest, deacons, and visiting priests as requested for special occasions.

  • Providing financial support, often in partnership with the Knights of Columbus, to purchase items needed by the parish.  Recent purchases have included a new Ambry in the church, and chairs and new appliances for the parish hall.

  • Funding an annual scholarship for a graduating Bisbee High School student.

Primary fundraisers for the club are the annual Christmas Bazaar the first weekend in December, and the ongoing sale of the Women's Club cookbook, "The Spirit of Cooking." The cookbook may be purchased through any member of the Women's Club for $12.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,  since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

--Colossians 3:23-24

Guidelines for Funeral Luncheons

How do I Join?

Any woman in the parish may join by coming to a meeting, or by coming as a current member's guest if you prefer.

How do I pay my dues?

Dues are paid to the club Treasurer, and are due each January. The dues amount is the same for a member joining for a partial year.

Must I attend every meeting?

We hope you will attend as often as possible to enjoy the fellowship and to learn what the club is doing. We know that work schedules and family obligations may prevent members from attending meetings or assisting with funeral luncheons, but we ask each member to do her best.

How can I learn more?
